SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS |

3/4 C. bread crumbs
1/2 C. milk
1 egg
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 C. sugar
1/2 C. brown sugar
3/4 C. pineapple juice
1/2 C. water
1/4 C. vinegar
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. salt
2-3 Tbsp. cornstarch, dissolved in water
1/2 C. green pepper strips
1 C. pineapple chunks (opt.) |

Mix bread crumbs, milk, egg, onion powder, ground beef, garlic powder and salt together and form into meatballs. Brown in frying pan. Remove from pan and clean pan. Mix sugar, brown sugar, pineapple juice, vinegar, paprika, salt, and cornstarch/water mixture together and cook and stir for 5 minutes until clear. Add meatballs and simmer for 30 minutes. Add green pepper strips and pineapple chunks and simmer for 10 minutes more. |
